March 15, 2005 Citing the danger of dry conditions, Merwin C. Potter, director of V.I. Fire Services, has revoked all burning permits and banned new ones until further notice.
"We must be mindful of the dry weather conditions and the circumstances that burning rubbish at this time is extremely fire-hazardous," Potter said in a release issued Tuesday.
