Family Mourns the Death of Christopher Francis

Feb. 16, 2005 — Christopher Sylvester Francis, also known as "Butcher Thaynes," age 72 of Mt. Washington, died Feb. 10 at Juan F. Luis Hospital.
He was the son of the late Louisa "Baby" Jarvis and Walton Francis, and the step-son of the late Winifred Inez Francis and Jim Jarvis of Newfield Village, Antigua.
Surviving are his children, Rosemary Francis, Eroda Samuel, Marvelyn, Eustace, Franklin,Cynthia "Little Sis" and Michael Francis; stepchildren, Cardinal Samuel, Eugene Gibson and Allan Felix; 41 grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Anne-Marie, Stome, Shandel, Rakeem, Alesha, Aniesha and Teckla; brothers, Foster "Chrissie" Jarvis, Edward "San Juan" Jarvis, Albert Francis and George "Blues or Yellow" Francis; sisters, Aurola Browne-Skeppl, Avril Philip, Bernadette Rogers and Agatha Warrington; nieces and nephews, Cortwright and Preston, Patrice Jarvis, Geraldine, Purnell, Alecia Francis, Bernard Francis, Clarence Fraicis, Walton Francis, Rashida, Travis, Audwin, Glednon, Bria and Joanne; son-in-law, Ivan Simuel; godfather, Raymond Browne; cousins, Gwendolyn Francis, Norman Browne, Coralie Hector, Ruthlin Hector, Hillarie Christopher, Girlette Solomon, Amelda Joseph, Cynthia Gardner, the Sampers and Dereen Mellansen; special friends, Leo Elmeade Gomes, Miguel Barthley, Elrick and Violet Paige, Wendy Mack, Lola Samuel, Kenneth Peters, Joan, Betty, Rodney and the Staff of WIVH Radio Station; neighbor, Victoria Encarnacion; Other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Anglican Church with viewing beginning at 9 a.m. Burial will take place at St. John's Private Cemetery. Professional arrangements are entrusted to James Memorial Funeral Home.
