CORE Book Parade at Cancryn School

Feb. 11, 2005 — Addelita Cancryn Junior High School's fourth Annual Cancryn Oral Reading Exchange (CORE) Book Parade and contest will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, April 22.
Elementary, Middle and High School students are encouraged to express themselves by creating costumes that represent characters or scenes from books they have read during the school year.
The parade route will start at Cancryn School and proceed along Veterans Drive to the Emile Griffith Ball Park. It will finish back at the school where judging of the contestants will take place. Prizes will be awarded in a variety of categories including poetry, rap dance and song.
Applications for participation in the CORE Book Parade are available at Cancryn School. Completed applications must be returned to the school no later than Friday, March 11, 2005. Public and private schools are urged to encourage their students to participate.
