Services for Edward Emilien Magras, 86, Are Feb. 11

Feb. 7, 2005 – Edward Emilien "Dous-Dous" Magras of Altona, St. Thomas, died Feb. 4 at the age of 86 at his home.
Viewing will be from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Anne's Chapel, with burial in Western Cemetery No. 3.
Born on May 25, 1918, in St. Barth's in the French West Indies, he worked at the Public Works Department for approximately 10 years, at the former V.I. Hilton Hotel, at Greaux's Grocery, and continued with commercial fishing for numerous years.
He is survived by his mother, Marie Virginie Questel; father, John Francois Solomon Magras, wife, Gertrude Magras; sons, Clement "Tony" Magras and Franklin Magras; daughter, Irene Richardson; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Arrangements are by Davis Funeral Home.
