Basketball Confederation General Assembly on St. Croix

Jan. 26, 2005 – Senator Usie R. Richards, President of the Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CBC) announces the upcoming General Assembly of the Confederation. The General Assembly will be hosted by the Virgin Islands Basketball Federation this coming Saturday on the island of St. Croix, at the Villa Morales Bar and Restaurant beginning at 9:00 a.m. The Caribbean Basketball Federation is composed of National Basketball Federations throughout the Caribbean, ranging from Cuba in the north to as far south as Guyana. Some eighteen (18) participants representing Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, British Virgin Islands, Caymans Islands, Jamaica, Netherland Antillees, Puerto Rico, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Kitts and Nevis, Trinidad and Tobago, and the US Virgin Islands have already confirmed their participation in this year’s Annual General Assembly. The Confederation will discuss and adopt plans for regional competitions and trainig for players, coaches and officials for the 2005 calendar.
