School's Out: Come to Kwanzaa Celebration at Library

Dec 24, 2004 – The Enid M. Baa Public Library's third annual Kwanzaa Celebration will feature storytellers, parents and students, volunteers, storytellers, musicians, educators, and artists on Tuesday morning, Dec. 28.
Families, children, parents and community residents are invited to share a program celebrating culture and community, and reminding all that the public library wants to be their "home away from home," according to a release.
At 10 a.m. at the library there will be presentations by Upward Bound students at the University of the Virgin Islands; a Lockhart Elementary School parent group; educator, artist and Pan-Africanist K. Leba Ola-Niyi; and musician and linguist Eddie Bruce. There will also be storytelling and arts and crafts displays.
After the program refreshments will be available — and regular library services, of course, for the balance of the day. Call coordinator Marilynn Bailey at 774-8772, ext. 306, or the Baa Library at 774-0630 for more information.
