David to Lead Minority in Senate

Dec. 13, 2004 — Sen. Roosevelt David will head the group of Democratic senators as Minority Leader in the 26th Legislature.
At a meeting Thursday afternoon, after a Senate Pre-Legislative Conference, David was chosen as leader among the seven senators.
David, the senior member of the minority caucus, is going into his fifth term.
"The minority caucus felt that I should lead the group," David said Monday night. "So I accepted their decision."
The other senators of the minority caucus are: Sens. Louis Hill and Ronald Russell and Senators-elect Craig Barshinger, Pedro Encarnacion, Neville James and Juan Figueroa-Serville.
"I'm looking forward to serving and putting forward an agenda for the best interest of the people of the Virgin Islands," David said.
