Nov. 26, 2004 – "Holiday Art Show," an exhibit of works by Lucinda Schutt, Gary Felton, Teri Jones, Lynn Paccassi-Berry and Alanna Baird, opens with a meet-the-artist reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday night at Alexander's Bella Blu in Frenchtown.
The show will feature favorite works from the five artists that would make good gifts for the holidays. And the artists will be on hand to meet and greet guests.
Gary Felton will feature "Early Morning Squalls," a dynamic black and white photographic panoramic of the neighboring islands.
Ritz Carlton artist-in-residence Lucinda Schutt will feature bright and colorful limited edition giclees of island scenes.
Local artist Lynn Paccassi-Berry created framed ceramic wall pieces expecially for the show. Watercolorist Teri Jones will show her vibrant beach and water scenes while Alanna Baird will present her Asian-influenced lino prints of sea life.
The show promises to kick off the holiday season with a strong sense of community and a additional surprise and fun as members of the Caribbean Palm Bonnets Red Hat Society will also be on hand to sell its calendars to benefit the Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute.
"Holiday Art Show" is coordinated for Alexander's Bella Blu by Gallery St. Thomas. Complimentary champagne and appetizers will be offered as well as an opportunity to win special door prizes.
