What Kind of Barbaric Society Do We Live In?

Dear Source,
What kind of barbaric society do we live in when our own governor will not sign an animal cruelty bill? As president of VICCTRE, Virgin Islands Community Cooperative Thoroughbred Retirement Effort, this is a huge blow for the abandoned, neglected and abused horses of the Virgin Islands. Just mention of the new law made some horse owners think twice about the poor treatment of their unwanted horses. We all need to keep fighting for this bill to be approved to help the animals on our island have access to food, water, shelter and a cruel-free environment.
Sincerely,
Becky Petri
