Hospital Pediatric Unit Gets Generous Donation

Oct. 30, 2004 – Infant care and staff training will be improving in the Pediatric Unit at the Roy L. Schneider Hospital thanks to a $15,000 equipment donation from the Drury Fund of the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands.
The donation of a state-of-the-art infant care doll, portable monitor and educational videos is valued at more than $15,000. The equipment was presented to hospital staff Wednesday afternoon by members of Drury Capital, Inc. and the foundation.
"We are very grateful for this generous donation to our hospital. This will certainly help increase patient and staff education, as well as improve patient care of infants in our care," Rodney E. Miller Sr., president and CEO of the hospital, said in a release.
For more information on the donation, contact Michael Burton at 776-8311, ext. 2264.
