Reaccreditation: What Difference Does it Make?

Dear Source,
This is my main question: If our children are being accepted to the colleges of their choice, of what import if any is this Middle States Association? Has the background been checked and what is the true price (the cost of visit) how many members etc.? I ask this because most colleges and universities have entrance exams. Seems like the administration for CHS may have been hustled by "important" sounding groups
