Oct. 11, 2004 – The V. I. Housing Authority will hold elections to fill vacant positions for Resident Council officers on Oct. 29 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. instead of on Oct. 19 as previously scheduled. Elections are as follows:
– St. Thomas/St John District: Paul M, Pearson Gardens, H.H. Bergs Homes/Additions, Oswald Harris Court, Michael J. Kirwan Terrace, Tutu Hi-Rise, Estate Bovoni and Knolls at Contant
– St. Croix District: D. Hamilton Jackson Terrace/Alphonso Gerard Complex, Ludvig Harrigan Court, Marley Homes/Marley Additions, Ralph deChabert, John F, Kennedy Terrace, Aureo Diaz Heights, Williams Delight Villas, Walter I.M. Hodge Pavilion, Whim Gardens, Mount Pleasant, Nicaso Nico Apartments, Candido Guadalupe Terrace and Joseph E. James Terrace.
Any public housing resident who is 18 years of age or older is eligible to vote.
An orientation for all registered candidates is scheduled for Oct. 15 at 5:30 p.m. in the Ruth Dazle Community, Oswald Harris Court Community in the St. Thomas/St. John District and VIHA Central Office in the St Croix District. Important information on the functions and responsibilities of Resident Council officers will be disseminated.
