Bahá'í Community Announces October Activities

Oct. 3, 2004 – The Bahá'í Community welcomes everyone to upcoming activities, on St. Thomas and on St. John. The schedule includes:
Devotional gatherings to say prayers and read from the writings of many faiths are held weekly on St. Thomas and St. John. On St. Thomas, they are held every Sunday: at 10 a.m. Oct. 10 at the National Park Dock on the East End (643-5059); at 7 p.m. Oct. 17, Devotions & Dessert at the Berry home (776-7024); at 10 a.m. Oct. 24, Devotions & Pot-Luck Breakfast at the Harmer home (776-2029); and at 10 a.m. Oct. 31 at the Bahá'í National Center, 129 Est. Contant (777-8120).
On St. John, devotional gatherings are held at 7:30 p.m. on alternate Monday and Wednesday evenings: Oct. 6 and 20 at the Smith home (776-6254) and October 11 and 25 at the Scimeca home (776-6316).
All are warmly invited to attend and participate.
Children's class: All children age 6 and older are welcome to attend the Bahá'í children's classes held from 9 to 11 a.m. most Saturdays at the Baha'i National Center. For information, and to register, call Julie Armbruster at 776-0488.
Study Groups: If you would like to join a group to study the Bahá'í Writings, call Judi Bryant at 643-5059 for information about a study group in your area.
Introduction to the Bahá'í Faith:If you are interested in learning about the history and principles of the Bahá'í Faith, you are welcome to attend an introductory meeting at 11 a.m. Oct. 31, immediately following devotions and continental breakfast, at the Bahá'í National Center. For additional information call 998-6212.
Holy Day Commemoration:A gathering to commemorate the Birth of the Báb will be held at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Bahá'í National Center.
Fun Night: Everyone is invited to another evening of fun and games-playing at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Bahá'í National Center. Fun night is an opportunity for children, youth and adults to get together and play games with each other. For information call 777-8120.
