Advertising Club Sets Schedule of Meetings

Sept. 10 – The Advertising Club of the Virgin Islands is holding a general membership meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 14, at noon, at Palms Court Harborview, St. Thomas. Bob Austin, president, announced in a press release that on the agenda is a discussion of the results of the club's recent survey. The survey was to determine members' preferences for future programming, including media representatives presenting media kits.
The release also reported that the board this year is working on a project to combine the club's Web site with a membership directory.
Among other reported projects, the board is working on an "Ad-Vantage Membership Benefit Book" only available to members for discounts on business services.

Upcoming presentations include:
– Ed Thomas, President, CEO, and WICO, presenting a comprehensive program aboard a cruise ship informing members about ship arrivals. Hotel & Tourism Association's President Beverly Nicholson's who will talk about the overnight visitor market will join him.
– The EDC program to discuss the benefits of being an EDC beneficiary or vendor.
– St. Thomas-St, John Chamber Of Commerce program meeting discussing benefits to membership of joining the chamber and participating in its programs.
– The Division Of Tourism program meeting will present their V. I. campaign for 2004-2005 season.
Also the 4th District, American Advertising Federation, will provide several speakers to the club. Maura Curley and Lanita Kemezis, St Croix, attended a federation meeting and represented the club recently in Jacksonville, Fla.
