Funeral Services Are July 2 for Rutherford Prevost

June 30, 2004 – Viewing will be Thursday and Friday and funeral services will be on Friday for Rutherford Paul Prevost, 59, of the Tutu High Rise Apartments.
Prevost was born on Jan. 25, 1945, in Dominica. He worked at Mahogany Run then later became a part of the East End Taxi Association. He took pride in his work and in caring for his family and enjoyed fishing and spending time on vacation with his family in Jacksonville, Fla.
Prevost was fatally shot on June 24.
He is survived by his wife, Eulda; a son, Ted; daughters Janna and Janice; his mother, Christine Jacobs; 10 brothers, Curtis, Ericson, Frederick, Guy, James, Johnathan, Julian, Justin, Lambert and Leroy; six sisters, Claudia, Fermina, Melinda, Patricia, Paulette and Ursuline; grandchildren Ted Prevost Jr. and Blaine Prevost; sisters-in-law Augustina and Donis Bruno and Milda Underwood; daughter-in-law Jasmine Prevost; and special friends Baron, Bryan, Elson, George, Joe, Vanley and the East End Taxi Association.
Viewing will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the Davis Funeral Home chapel, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church with burial to follow in Western Cemetery Lot No. 3.
Arrangements are by Davis Funeral Home.
