CFVI Awarding Scholarships, Announcing Directors

June 22, 2004 – The annual meeting of the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands (CFVI) is Friday, June 25, at the Marriott Frenchman's Reef, Harbour Ballrooms III and IV from noon to 2 p.m.
Chairman Ricardo J. Charaf will provide an overview of the foundations programs and assets. President Dee Brown will announce several major initiatives funded through donors at CFVI.
At the meeting, CFVI will award 37 scholarships to V.I. students. The total value of the scholarships is more than $68,000.
All who attend the meeting will receive a copy of CFVI's newly produced directory of community organizations.
According to a press release from the foundation, the directory lists more than 250 organizations and will be the most comprehensive listing of non-profit organizations in the territory.
Additional copies of this directory will be available through the office of the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands, or at the Foundation's website, www.cfvi.net.
At the meeting, CFVI will also announce the Foundation's directors and officers for the 2004-2005 year.
