Services are May 27 for Carl Maranda, 66

May 21, 2004 – Carl Maranda, 66, also known as "Neibbs," "King Carl," "Two Bagga & Governor," died Monday, May 17, at the Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. He was a resident of Estate Sion Farm, Christiansted.
The family has asked that those attending the celebration of his life wear joyful colors and not colors of mourning. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 27, at the Holy Ghost Deliverance Ministries in Estate Barren Spot, with viewing beginning at 9 a.m. Interment will follow at the Kingshill Cemetery. Arrangements are by the James Memorial Funeral Home.
Maranda is survived by his daughters, Desiree Maranda, J'nell Maranda, Jesmi Maranda Cartier and Janeen Maranda; fiancé, Azalie Kreigger-Thomas; grandchildren, Neya Maranda, De'von Stroman, Dennis Sewer, Mallik Sewer, Denisha Sewer, Tyrie Jackson, Dejah Cartier, Dwight Cartier, Jadaé Cartier and Jaheem Joseph; great grandchildren, Demore Regis and Temory Petty; sister, Evelyn Maranda Bascombe; sons-in-law, Henry Joseph, Larry Jackson and Dewight Cartier; sisters-in-law, Gloria Maranda, Lorraine Richardson, Myrtle Richardson, Maralyn Maranda Donawa, Namoi and Ruth Johannes and Shellburn Chapman; brothers-in-law, St. Clair Berry, Elroy Bascome, Gene Scatliffe Sr., Albert Richardson and Mitchell Price; numerous nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
