LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR: BIKE PATH PROGRESSING

May 1, 2004 – Progress is being made on a public-private initiative to develop a bicycle path on St. Croix, Lt. Gov. Vargrave Richards said in a release issued on Thursday.
"Upon completion, the bike path will provide residents and visitors alike with a safe, picturesque route along with they can exercise," the release stated.
The initiative is being undertaken with the St. Croix Foundation for Community Development, Richards said.
"This partnership is an integral part of an overall strategy to revitalize St. Croix's economy and to promote St. Croix as a world-class ecotourism destination," he said.
