INPUT SOUGHT ON NON-NATIVE PLANT ERADICATION

If the Ginger Thomas plant is one of the non-native plants to be eradicated, what would then become the Virgin Islands National plant? I am not happy about that. All my life I was taught about the Virgin Islands National plant, I teach my kids about the Virgin Islands and the different types of trees, plants, etc. This is like teaching an old dog new tricks. That is very difficult to do.
