JEWELRY SHOW TO BENEFIT V.I. NATIONAL PARK

Feb. 21, 2004 — Friends of the Virgin Islands National Park is pleased to announce that goldsmith and designer Bethany Savage will hold a fine jewelry show to benefit the organization.
Savage will be on St. John to share her work with the public on Feb. 26 and 27. Each piece is handcrafted at her home in Maine and reflects her love and admiration of the sea and its natural elements. The show will be held in the Breezeway at Caneel Bay and will run from 2 to 8 p.m. each day. Savage is donating 30 percent of the proceeds from her show to the Friends in order to support natural and cultural resource protection programs.
Savage created a number of new pieces for her upcoming show at Caneel Bay, with the inventory valued at more than $100,000. Joe Kessler, president of the Friends said, "We are grateful to Ms. Savage for her initiative and effort in developing and promoting this exciting show as a way to give back to that which inspires her. We are pleased at the opportunity to share Bethany’s work with St. John and thank Caneel Bay for hosting this event."
The public is welcome and encouraged to join us for this beautiful display of craftsmanship.
