WHITE PLEASED WITH FORTUNA 3C-A HOUSING DEVELOPMENT

Senator Celestino A. White, Sr. is pleased to report that after a recent inspection of the Fortuna 3C-A housing development, the dream of homeownership for many residents is closer to reality. Fortuna 3C-A is part of the V.I. Housing Finance Authority’s 3-Year Affordable Housing Initiative approved by the 24th Legislature to have the Authority construct 52 three-bedroom homes on the west end of St. Thomas.
It is expected that at the end of February, 16 families will realize their long awaited dream of homeownership, with the remaining 36 units to be completed by July of this year, according to Senator White. I encourage all residents interested in homeownership to visit the Housing Finance Authority office or my office for additional information. Those residents who have applications on file should update them as this is the means by which they will be considered for homeownership.
I wish to commend the Executive Director of the Housing Finance Authority, Mr. Clifford Graham, and his staff, for their tireless effort and commitment to improving the quality of life for so many of our residents, stated Senator White.
Finally, our efforts towards land ownership and homeownership high on the hills at Mariendahl remains in full swing, concluded Senator White.
