SOME MAY QUALIFY FOR HOMESTEAD EXEMPTIONS

Feb. 6, 2004 – Homestead exemption benefits are available in several categories, Lt. Gov. Vargrave Richards reminds V.I. homeowners.
Homeowners may qualify for General Homestead Exemption, Veterans' Exemption, or Elderly Exemption. Applications and requisite documents are due by April 30, 2004, a release said.
For details, call the tax assessor's office on St. Croix at 773-6459, on St. John at 776-6737, or on St. Thomas at 776-8505.
