MISSING ST. JOHN HIV TEST SPECIMENS FOUND

This whole incident has made national news, for my sister wrote me in my e-mail about this today from New York. It seems incredulous to me that the specimens were not transported on the day taken. Why was a nurse staying at this hotel, the ferry goes back and forth many times so why did she need to stay at a hotel and an expensive one to boot? This whole thing goes beyond good judgment on the part of the nurse in question. I feel I can say this for I am a nurse myself. A responsible person who knew the importance of these specimens would have felt a professional obligation to make sure the specimens were promptly taken to their destination. This is a serious breach of confidentiality and certainly does nothing to compel people to get tested.
