WAPA RESUMES FEEDER 8 CONSTRUCTION

Jan. 14, 2003 — WAPA is reminding motorists to slow down while driving on the Melvin H. Evans Highway around the Feeder 8 construction zone.
The authority's contractor, Zenon Construction, has resumed digging trenches for the continuation of underground Feeder No. 8 service from the Henry Rohlsen Airport (East Airport Road) to the town of Frederiksted. Construction crews will be working alongside the highway between the East Airport Road and West Airport Road intersections. Work was recently suspended for several weeks in recognition of holiday season activities.
