This Web site was launched on Dec. 9, 2003, by the White House in collaboration with the U.S. Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Education, Homeland Security, Housing and Urban Development, Justice, Labor and Transportation, along with the National Science Foundation. Its purpose is to help organizations learn about federal programs offering competitive grants and to apply online for such funding.
