POTHOLES ON WATERFRONT ROADS TO BE REPAIRED

Dec. 3, 2003 – As of 6 p.m. Wednesday, Public Works crews were scheduled to begin repairing potholes on Long Bay Road and Veterans Drive from the Lucinda Millin Home for the Aged to the USO facility on the Charlotte Amalie waterfront.
A release from Government House described the work as emergency repairs and advised motorists to exercise caution traveling on the waterfront roadways or to use alternative routes while the work is ongoing. The release did not indicate when the work is expected to be completed.
Under contract to Public Works, BetterRoads Asphalt is carrying out the repairs. The company completed filling in potholes between Red Hook and Smith Bay during the day on Wednesday, the release stated.
