Nov. 18, 2003 – Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday for Christian U. Christensen, a lifelong resident of St. Croix who died on Friday, Nov. 14, in Juan F. Luis Hospital at the age of 88.
Viewing will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Friedensberg Moravian Church in Frederiksted. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. in the church, with burial to follow in Frederiksted Cemetery.
Christensen's business ventures included owning the Christiansted Theatre movie house and the first coin-operated laundry on St. Croix.
He is survived by five sons, Christian O., David, Franklyn, Michael and Peter; a daughter, Charlotte; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Armstrong; daughters-in-law Donna, Jean, Linda and Norma Christensen; 18 grandchildren, Adam, Daniel, Danielle, Eric, Esther, Franklyn, Melanie, Michael, Nicole and Suzanna Christensen; Diamari Christensen-Ramos, Christian "David" Bryan; Lisa Harris; Rabiah and Karida Green; Kathy Stanley; Norman Ussery; and Carmen Ward; 17 great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
