UVI JAZZ ENSEMBLE CONCERT CHANGED TO NOV. 22

Nov. 18, 2003 – The University of the Virgin Islands Jazz Ensemble will perform in concert Saturday night in the new Dining Pavilion on the St. Thomas campus.
The performance was rescheduled from last Saturday because of weather conditions.
The ensemble is under the direction of Martin J. Lamkin. Guest artists taking part in the program are pianist Louis Taylor, vocalists Danielle Greenaway and Melita Etiene, and pianist/vocalist Detra Davis. Classic jazz tunes such as "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square," "The Girl from Ipanema," "The Way You Look Tonight" and "Dat Dere" will be featured.
The concert is to begin at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets are available on campus at the UVI Humanities Division office, the Music Department building and the UVI bookstore in the Sports and Fitness Center, as well as from ensemble members.
