BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS APPROVED BY FINANCE

Nov. 17, 2003 – Following are comparisons of the General Fund appropriations contained in the majority's fiscal year 2004 budget bill as passed by the Finance Committee (given first) on Monday, along with the amounts proposed by the governor in his budget submitted on Aug. 29 (given second) and requested by department and agency heads in the six weeks of hearings conducted before the Finance Committee in July and August (given third).
Note, however: The figures approved on Monday in some instances are not the actual totals to be appropriated, as additional appropriations are contained in the Omnibus Bill that was being taken up by the Finance Committee Tuesday night.
Figures in excess of $1 million are rounded to the nearest hundred thousand.
