MOTOR VEHICLE BUREAU CLOSED

Nov. 16, 2003 – The Motor Vehicle Bureau in Sub Base is closed to the public "until further notice" due to damage to equipment, furnishings and supplies from the recent rains.
A release from the Police Department sent Sunday night requested all employees to report to work as usual to "assist in preparing the bureau to serve the motoring public as soon as possible."
Phone service at the bureau is also out of order.
Police Commissioner Elton Lewis said the public would be advised promptly when the bureau reopens. Lewis also asked police officers to "use their discretion during the time the bureau is closed."
