EPIPHANY CASTING FOR 'CHARLIE BROWN' MUSICAL

Nov. 3, 2003 – Auditions for Epiphany Theater Company's February production of the musical "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" are being held this week.
They're taking place at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, 3 p.m. on Saturday and 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, in the Trunk Bay Room at the Westin Resort.
Needed are three men to portray Charlie Brown, Linus and Schroeder; two women to play Lucy and Sally; and a sixth person to be cast as Snoopy. Candidates should be prepared to read from the script and to demonstrate their singing ability. Casting is flexible as far as age and physical appearance, and "everyone who is interested is encouraged to attend the auditions," a release states.
The St. John theater company also is looking for behind-the-scenes volunteers to handle such jobs as stage managing, sound, lighting, set design and construction, props and makeup. Those interested in helping out in these areas also are asked to attend one of the audition sessions.
According to the release, "The play is an average day in the life of Charlie Brown — a day made up of little moments picked from all the days of Charlie Brown, from Valentine's Day to the baseball season, from wild optimism to utter despair, all mixed in with the lives of his friends (both human and non-human) and strung together on the string of a single day, from bright uncertain morning to hopeful starlit evening."
