V.I. AQUATIC ENVIRONMENTAL SEMINAR SET

Oct. 31, 2003 — The U.S. V.I. Aquatic Environmental Seminar will be held on St. Croix in two evening sessions on Nov. 13 and 14.
The free seminar will be conducted from 7 to 9:30 p.m. each evening at the student activity center on the St. Croix campus of the University of the Virgin Islands. Refreshments will be served.
The seminar is sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the V.I. Planning and Natural Resources Department (DPNR) and UVI, said a release.
Topics to be discussed include water quality standards, fish and shellfish concerns, EPA's coral reef initiative, V.I. rum industry discharge and beach monitoring.
