VETERANS DRIVE ROAD WORK SET FOR WEEKEND

Oct. 27, 2003 – There will be single-lane traffic on Veterans Drive in downtown Charlotte Amalie at certain times on Saturday and Sunday so that Public Works Department crews can carry out road work.
On Saturday from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., the left lane westbound will be closed between the fire station and the Frenchtown post office.
On Sunday from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., the left lane eastbound in the same stretch of roadway will be closed.
A Government House release providing the information asked that motorists proceed with caution driving on Veterans Drive during the road repair work.
