Oct. 27, 2003 – The Housing Authority has announced a new date for the election of resident leaders and a newly extended deadline for candidates to register.
The election will take place on Dec. 16 with the polls open at all of the territory's housing communities from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. All housing residents at least 18 years of age are eligible to vote.
Candidates must register by Nov. 7.
An orientation for registered candidates will be held on Nov. 14 at 5:30 p.m. in the Ruth Dazle Community Center in Oswald Harris Court on St. Thomas. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the roles and responsibilities or resident leaders, campaign strategies, and federal Department of Housing and Urban Development requirements.
