LAWYER NOMINATED FOR CASINO COMMISSION SEAT

Oct. 27, 2003 – Gov. Charles W. Turnbull has nominated Devin Francis Carrington to fill a vacancy on the Casino Control Commission. The nomination requires Senate confirmation.
Carrington, a lawyer on St. Croix, has been legal counsel to the Health Department since last year. According to a Government House release distributed on Monday, he has been providing legal guidance and assistance to the commission on a part-time basis for the last two years.
A 1994 graduate of Nova Southeastern University Law School, Carrington was legal counsel to the 21st and 22nd Legislature in 1995-1997, and held the same position with the Planning and Natural Resources Department in 1999-2002.
