FRAGRANCE LAUNCH IS HUMANE SOCIETY FUNDRAISER

Oct. 27, 2003 – There's a dress code for the "gala soiree" being sponsored by Parfums Givenchy on Nov. 8 to celebrate the launch of a new fragrance and to raise funds for a new home for the Humane Society of St. Thomas.
"All attendees are urged to wear black or white with a touch of pink," an announcement of the event, to be held at the St. Peter Great House on St. Thomas, states. And there will be prizes for various categories of dress.
The scent in the spotlight is "Very Irresistible Givenchy." According to Dellia Holodenschi, Caribbean area manager for Parfums Givenchy and a member of the local Humane Society board, the fragrance captures the spirit of "the French touch of Hubert de Givenchy and the American spontaneity of Audrey Hepburn."
And, she says, "This is recaptured through the new muse, Liv Tyler, who adds a modern twist with charm, spontaneity, winning femininity and superb elegance."
Holodenschi is co-hosting the affair, which will go from 8:30 to 11 p.m., along with fellow Humane Society board members. Admission is $40, which includes hors d'oeuvres, an open bar, a 30ml flacon of the featured fragrance and "lots of dancing to your favorite tunes." There will be presentations by Joe Aubain, Humane Society board president, and Randolph Knight, the capital campaign chair.
Preliminary to the event, the public is invited to enter an essay contest "describing the most irresistible person in your life." The top prize is a trip to Puerto Rico for two plus champagne and, of course, a bottle of "Very Irresistible Givenchy." Entry forms are available at Tropicana Parfums, Dynasty, Dadlani, Perfume Palace and A.H. Riise Stores. Winners will be announced on Friday on 105 JAMZ radio.
For additional information, call Holodenschi at 513-1854 or Amalie Parrott at 998-6362.
