MILLER NAMED TO HOSPITAL ASSOCIATION COMMITTEE

Oct. 21, 2003 – Rodney E. Miller Sr., chief executive officer of Roy L. Schneider Hospital, has been appointed to the Committee on Volunteers of the American Hospital Association for a three-year term through the end of 2006.
The association represents and serves about 5,000 hospitals, health-care systems, networks and other health-care providers. Michael Guerin, senior vice president, wrote Miller that he was being asked "to assume a leadership role in the AHA through participation in the development of policies to represent, guide and assist the nation's hospitals."
Miller described the committee as "a key advisory body" within the AHA and said that its role is very important in organizing volunteers and auxiliaries to serve on behalf of the association. "I am very pleased to receive this honor and will take my appointment to this committee very seriously," he said.
