Oct. 18, 2003 — Services will be Oct. 24 for Ileen Melsadis Magras, 60, of Altona, St. Thomas, who died Oct. 13 in Miami, Fla..
She was born Nov. 23, 1942, on Tortola. As a teenager she moved to St. Thomas, which has been her home since. Considered a quiet person, she was loved by all. Although her life was full of struggles, she persevered with strength and determination even to the end, in the words of her family.
Viewing will be at 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24, with service at 10 a.m., both at Apostolic Faith Church in Altona. Burial will be in Western Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by her mother, Christophina Forbes; sons, Edmund Jr., Edwin, Ray, Marvin and Aubrey Magras; daughters, Carol and Doris Magras; brothers, Cromwell, Edbert and Aubrey Forbes; sisters, Vnovia Cox, Margaret Forbes and Clothilda Forbes; daughters-in-law, Sofia, Anessa, Jeannie, and LaRhonda Magras; 19 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
