GROUP TO PROMOTE HERITAGE AND NATURE TOURISM

I found it interesting in your article on the continuing establishment of CHANT and the hackneyed position that heritage and nature tourism is the way to go for St. Croix (well, duh?) that no mention was made of The St. Croix Heritage Trail, the major heritage tourism effort on the island for at least four years.
I hope that CHANT, in its worthwhile mission of involving the local community, will not dismiss the blood, sweat and tears of those developing heritage tourism from "the outside in." Now that the Heritage Trail has been established (are the signs still up?), I hope that those working for CHANT will embrace the work that's already been done, and incorporate the Trail into future related projects.
