GERS DELAYS LOANS UNTIL OCT. 6

Sept. 30, 2003 – Government Employees Retirement System administrator Luarnece E. Bryan has issued a release stating that the processing of loan applications for members and retirees will resume on Monday, Oct. 6.
An earlier report indicated that the office would reopen as of Wednesday, Oct. 5. However, Bryan stated that the delay is necessary for the GERS staff to finalize system modifications.
Loan applicants are reminded to bring a valid picture I.D. and their last two consecutive check stubs with them when applying.
For further information, contact the GERS offices at 776-7703.
