HARRIGAN NAMED VETERANS AFFAIRS DIRECTOR

April 29, 2003 – Justin Harrigan Sr. has been named director of the Office of Veterans Affairs. The appointment took effect on Monday, according to a Tuesday release from Government House.
Harrigan had been serving as acting director of the agency since the resignation last year of former director Fernando Webster.
Gov. Charles W. Turnbull also announced his nomination of five persons to serve on the new V.I. Military Museum and Veterans Memorial Complex board of directors. The nominations require Senate confirmation.
Nominated from the St. Croix district are: Amos L. Sealey, Luis Garcia, Evelyn Critten and Aubrey L. Ruan Jr. Nominated from the St. Thomas-St. John district is Edward Phillips.
