April 4, 2003 – Gov. Charles W. Turnbull left the territory Wednesday to attend the Eastern Region Convention of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity in Stamford, Conn. Turnbull will be the guest speaker at the event, according to a release from Government House.
In Turnbull's absence Lt. Governor Vargrave Richards serves as acting governor.
Turnbull is expected to return to the territory Sunday.
