2003 CARNIVAL QUEEN APPLICANTS ARE SOUGHT

Nov. 20, 2002 – The V.I. Carnival Committee is looking for a 2003 Carnival Queen, now that the search is well under way for a Prince and Princess.
Young ladies between the ages of 16 and 21, with an overall letter grade average of "B" or higher are welcome to apply for participation in the Carnival Queen Pageant.
Competition in previous years has ranged from nine contestants in 1999 to four in 2002. The 50th anniversary queen last year won a Chevy Cavalier and a king — no word is out on what the next queen might be awarded.
Application forms are available at the committee office. Applications must be submitted by Dec. 9.
Call Queens Committee Chairperson Lorna Webster at 776-3112 for more information.
