Candidates for the Legislature
Where: St. Gerard's Hall, Frederiksted
One in a series of American Association of Retired Persons Issues Forums, the forum will be televised by TV2. Dr. Ruth Beagles will moderate the first forum, and a panel of four AARP volunteers will question candidates on specific issues. Audience members will then have an opportunity to submit written questions to the candidates.
The forums will start on time and the candidates will adhere to the time limits and topics.
Among issues the panel will raise: GERS unfounded liabilities, health care system improvements, Medicaid cap, long-term health care, Tobacco Settlement Funds, public transportation, homeowners insurance, environmental monitoring and protection.
