AARP FORUM FOR LEGISLATURE CANDIDATES

The first in a series of American Association of Retired Persons Issues Forums will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. today at St. Gerard's Hall, Frederiksted.
The forum will be moderated by Dr. Ruth Beagles, and candidates for the Legislature
will be questioned on specific issues by a panel of four AARP volunteers. Audience members will then have an opportunity to submit written questions to the candidates.
TV2 will televise the forum.
Among issues the panel will raise: GERS unfounded liabilities, health care system improvements, Medicaid cap, long-term health care, Tobacco Settlement Funds, public transportation, homeowners insurance, environmental monitoring and protection.
