ST. JOHN, ST. THOMAS AARP GROUPS TO TAKE A WALK

Nov. 11, 2001 – The St. Thomas and St. John chapters of the American Association of Retired Persons will get together on St. John on Monday morning for a walkathon. J.J. Estemac, St. Thomas chapter spokesperson, said the purpose is to bring the two groups together so members can get to know each other better.
The walk will be around Cruz Bay, starting at 10 a.m. "It's good exercise," Estemac said, asking that St. Thomas AARP members catch the 9 a.m. ferry from Red Hook.
He said the two groups, along with the St. Croix AARP chapter, often collaborate on projects.
Estemac also announced a general membership meeting for the St. Thomas chapter, at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 24 in the Roy L. Schneider Hospital cafeteria.
