RED RIBBON WEEK BEGINS TUESDAY, OCT. 23

On Tuesday, Oct. 23, through Wednesday, Oct. 31, Virgin Islanders will observe the national and territorial designation of Red Ribbon Week. Gov. Chaarles W. Turnbull has issued a proclamation in observance to the special week, pointing out that alcohol and other drug abuse in our nation and in the territory has reached epidemic stages.
The Virgin Islands Red Ribbon Coalition s spoonsoring the Red Ribbon Campaign which offers citizens the opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to drug-free lifesstyles by wearing red ribbons during the week.
