May 14, 2001–The Virgin Islands Cultural Heritage Institute and the Museo de las Américas in San Juan, Puerto Rico are inviting all long-standing Virgin Islands artists, born in the USVI, or living/resided here for 10 years or more, to submit slides for consideration to be included in a group show, called "VIA Collective," a survey of Virgin Islands paintings.
Three Puerto Rican art professionals will be the curators. Slides are due Sept. 1, 2001.
The show will be held at the Museo de las Américas from February 5 through March 17, 2002.
