V.I. NEWS ASSOCIATION TO MEET SATURDAY

May 1, 2001 – The Virgin Islands News Association will host Frank Jordan, former head of the UVI Journalism program at UVI, in a teleconference on Saturday, May 5.
Jordan, former NBC News Washington bureau chief and dean of the Communications School at American University, will speak on "The Importance of Press Associations."
The conference is open to all interested in the media in the Virgin Islands. It will begin at 4:30 p.m. at the teleconferencing facilities at UVI — on St. Thomas at Teacher's Ed Building Room 101 and on St. Croix in the Melvin Evans Center, Room 713.
There will be a short business meeting following or preceding Jordan's address.
