Women for Positive Change will hold a discussion on the Child Protection Act of 2001 at 3 p.m. Saturday at Gladys' Cafe in Royal Dane Mall. Participants are asked to confirm their participation on or before Wednesday.
The goal of the discussion is to obtain information and understanding to help attain fair, balanced legislation and penalties for assault and rape against minors and women. Topics will include different degrees of rape and assault; punishment as deterrent; plea bargaining; how to reduce assaults on women and children.
